A sombre one it is this year, I still believe we have the potential to learn, acknowledge and grow as a country. True reconciliation is acknowledging our past, both good and bad - all sides of it and incorporating this knowledge into our country's history and identity. When we know better, we can do better. I can't think of anywhere else I would want to live and I feel fortunate that I live in this country. I hope we set an example to the world on how to go forward and offer true reconciliation to the first people's of Canada. Happy Canada Day to all of us.
