Meet the Artist

Born in Toronto, I consider myself fortunate to be surrounded by urban beauty in our "city within a park" and the stunning landscapes just a short drive away. My work is a celebration of these surroundings—from iconic streetcars to tranquil gardens, parks, and trails. By blending realism with a touch of fantasy, I aim to transform everyday scenes into something magical.

My creative process begins outdoors; I photograph the urban and rural scenes that catch my eye during my hikes and travels to use as studio references. Working with acrylics allows me incredible versatility—I use a variety of application methods to achieve everything from delicate, watercolor-style backgrounds to thick, oil-like finishing touches.

With a background in the printing and prepress industry, I bring a sharp eye for composition to my fine art pursuits. While I am largely self-taught, my skills have been further shaped by the Toronto School of Art, Tim Gagnon, and the Tim Packer Academy. I am an active member of several local art clubs and have showcased my work at various prestigious venues, including the Riverdale ArtWalk, Queen West Art Crawl, and the Todmorden Papermill Gallery.

Life can be busy, and we often overlook the beauty within our reach. I hope my art brings an awareness of the rural and urban beauty close to home, appealing to local residents and nature lovers alike. Thank you for dropping by!
