Born in Toronto, I consider myself fortunate to be surrounded by urban beauty in our city within a park. Likewise, short drives from the big city open up lush new worlds that offer plenty of hiking trails to explore and natural beauty to observe. Through the use of acrylics in a variety of application methods, I enjoy sharing these observations of the Greater Toronto and areas beyond to the connections and the wonders of our rural and urban environments.

Although I have spent many hours learning to paint on my own, various classes and workshops with fellow artists, including but not limited to Toronto School of Art, Tim Gagnon, and Tim Packer Academy have augmented my fine art skills. My education and work life in the printing/prepress industry have enhanced my composition skills in my fine arts pursuits. I am an active member of the Don Valley Arts Club in Toronto, Art Guild of Scarborough and Oshawa Art Association. Likewise, I have been an active member in various hiking groups in the GTA including the Bruce Trail Club, Canada Outdoor World Seekers in Toronto and East York Outing Club. Opportunities for global travel have given me an appreciation for contrasts and observations in everyday life both abroad and at home.

My paintings have been showcased at various group shows including Artisans At Work, Above Ground Arts Supplies Beaches Showcase, DVAC Todmorden Papermill Gallery group shows, SOYRA Aurora Art Shows, Aurora Skylight Gallery, Riverdale Art Show, the Guild Alive with Arts Festival, Whitchurch-Stouffville Art in the Park, the Art Guild of Scarborough, the Oshawa Art Association Camp Samac shows and the Toronto Public Library. Selected paintings have been used and/or sold for a variety of customers including individual clients, PaintNite events, reprinted greeting cards and calendars.
